The ATEX version of the IC-F51 complies with the 94/9/EC ATEX directive. The IC-F51 series is a waterproof PMR transceiver with an IPX7 equivalent construction, the same as our marine handheld models. Additionally, built-in signaling and UT-110-compatible voice scrambler functionality eliminate the need for an optional logic board. The IC-F51 Series meets requirements for rugged, waterproof communications tools suitable for use in hazardous areas such as oil rigs, areas where flammable gases or liquids are used, and other potentially explosive environments. * Equivalent to IPX2001 of the corresponding international standard IEC 7 (60529). 1 meter deep for 30 minutes.

This ATEX-certified IC-F51 transceiver provides safety-certified 2-way communication to protect against explosion and fire hazards in certain hazardous areas.
